Risk management is a requirement for academy trusts, but all school organisations should understand risk and have systems for managing risk. At the end of this course participants will be in a position to start the process of ensuring that the GB’s role in managing risk becomes a routine and secure aspect of their governance role.
Specifically the course will cover:
- the concept of risk and its management;
- the types of risk relevant to schools and trusts;
- identifying and quantifying risk;
- barriers and challenges to managing risk; and
- the GB’s role.
This training costs £120 per delegate for governors of schools who subscribe to School & Governor Support, and £150 for those who don't.
